Heart Failure Cardiologist / Director CHF Programs

We are seeking a BC/BE Heart Failure Cardiologist to serve as Director of CHF Programs at the CENTRA Stroobants Heart & Vascular Center in Lynchburg, Virginia. 

Ideal candidates should have a strong interest in clinical research, in implementing quality metrics heart failure treatment and in developing advanced heart failure treatment modalities, as well as experience in mechanical circulatory support.

Our center currently has over 20 cardiologists at 6 sites in central Virginia, with advanced programs in:

• electrophysiology
• peripheral vascular disease
• carotid artery disease
• adult congenital heart disease
• cardiac imaging

Our cardiac surgical program does over 350 pump cases per year with an active ECMO service.  Development of a VADS service is a goal.  We seek a strong leader to help us develop our CHF Program across the continuum of care and to further develop our relationships with the transplant programs to which we refer.
